It is very important to start training your bullmastiff puppies right from the beginning. You cannot leave them on their own to learn the rules as you will only succeed in making them stubborn and obstinate. Socializing Them

When the bullmastiff puppies are very small, you can introduce them to people in general and other pets in the house. This can start from the age of 3 weeks. Since the puppy is small, it will slowly listen to you and learn what you say. Once it is fully grown up, it might not pay attention to your commands. You must reprimand the pup when it shows aggression towards other pets and even the guests to your house. You can keep the dog on a leash and give a tug to say “no”. If you keep on doing this, the puppy will realize what you want him to do. You can become firmer when it is about 10 weeks old as it gets a bit shy then. While teaching the pet to socialize, restrict your kids from playing too much with it. And always remember to reward the bullmastiff puppies with a pat on their heads or say something loving so that they understand that you like their behaviour and are happy with the way they have reacted.

Making Them Obedient

You can take the help of a qualified dog trainer to help teach your puppies to be obedient. These classes will help the pup to recognize you as the master and also help in socializing better. It won’t do you much good if it starts growling at your guests or jumps on them wanting to be petted. This would be understandable and even acceptable behaviour from the smaller breed of dogs but with the huge grown up bullmastiff, your guests are bound to feel irritated and you embarrassed. Since the bullmastiff puppies are quite intelligent, you can teach them to be obedient through a trainer.

Providing Them Company

Since you have bought the pups after falling in love with them, you should make sure that you take care of them and shower them with love at all times. These animals love to be in the company of people and you can take some time everyday to help them exercise and play with you. You can take them for a walk and also practise ball throwing with them. You might make them naughty and destructive if you don’t interact with them enough. By giving a lot of love to the bullmastiff puppies and teaching them the rules of good behaviour, you can really enjoy your time with the pets.
